Description
With a maximum capacity of 5 tonnes (11000 lbs) and a maximum working height of 7.7 metres (25’ 3”), the new high-capacity THA 5.8 is specifically designed to meet the needs of the agricultural sector.
These features, combined with a 125 kW (170 hp) FPT Stage V engine, allow it to reach a top speed of 50 km/h (31 mph). The 4-wheel drive and steering, combined with a hydrostatic transmission, ensure maximum stability and manoeuvrability, with three different steering modes: front, round and crab.
The MCTS (Magni Combi Touch System) on-board software is operated via a touchscreen, giving full control with icon-based navigation. From the main menu it is possible to access specific pages with various functions, including load charts with new functions for the agricultural sector.
Special features of the new model:
- Cab suspension: increases operator comfort and reduces vibration during operation.
- Shortcut buttons on the control console for quick access to the main on-screen functions. Operators can configure the shortcuts to suit their preferences.
- LED front and rear lights as standard
- Engine retarder: solution implemented though collaboration between Magni and FPT. For safety reasons, this function maintains a stable engine speed while driving downhill to protect the shaft and engine when driving on steep slopes.
- Electronic LC: the electronic system constantly monitors the hydraulics to minimise fuel consumption and therefore the machine emissions.
- CVT transmission: high performance transmission designed to improve traction on all types of terrain, allowing a speed of 50 km/h (31 mph) in all driving conditions.
- Hydropneumatic axle suspension: when working, the cylinders make the machine rigid for optimum load management. These cylinders can be independently extended to compensate for the slope of the ground.
- Lateral translation: This function allows the boom to move +/-4.5° to optimise the lateral positioning of the load.
- 7° Levelling system: This mechanism allows the machine to be levelled +/- 7° laterally.
