2019 opens a new chapter in the history of the Magni brand in the UK. In the last 3 years the Magni brand was marketed and supported by the Forkway Group which was its official importer.
In September 2017, Magni Telescopic Handlers Srl decided that, in order to expand its market share in the United Kingdom, it would have had to change the way it managed its business and made the decision to end the agreement with the Forkway Group. The agreement officially ended at the end of 2017.
Magni Telescopic Handlers UK Ltd was established as a wholly owned subsidiary in the United Kingdom. The company is led by Alex White who previously worked for the importer and has been the face of the brand for the past 3 years. The company is currently based in an office building, but expects to move to a new UK headquarters in Dorset by the end of March. Important renovations are currently underway in the building and, once finished, will host a stock of machines and in some parts will house complete training facilities. But this is only the beginning and a short-term option until a new purpose-built building is ready to be occupied.
The Magni range of rotating and heavy duty telehandlers was presented for the first time at Bauma in 2013. At the time, only a couple of models were available, but since then the range has expanded significantly. Magni now has 13 models in the rotating range, 6 models in the heavy duty range of lifts and a 20m rigid chassis telescopic handler. To give the right perspective, Magni in 5 years has created a range of rotating telehandlers at the same level as rival products whose development took 20 years or more. Not only is it probably at the present time one of the fastest growing brands in the construction industry, but also one of the first new building / industry companies formed in Europe over the last 20 years.
In 2016, Magni signed an agreement with Zhejiang Dingli Machinery Co. Ltd (Dingli). This agreement provided for Magni to redesign the Dingli range boom platforms and for the Magni Dingli platforms to be imported into Europe. In this capacity, Magni now supplies a wide range of scissor platforms, while a complete range of boom platforms will soon be launched. The joint venture also allows Magni telehandlers better access to the Chinese market.
For 2018 Magni plans exciting programs, an important part of which is the creation of the new subsidiary in the United Kingdom. Magni Telescopic Handlers UK Ltd will start from its already solid profile to make it grow again with some sensational announcements coming in the first quarter. Customers who have followed Magni up to this point, and especially those who have been in the factory, have seen with their own eyes the growth and vision of Magni. The impression they always give is that Magni is a company with a positive attitude, with an incredible focus on the customer in his approach.
In 2018 Magni will be present at various exhibitions in the United Kingdom and will be offering various demonstration machines to customers. With new standards of safety, ergonomics and technical experience, we hope to see a Magni soon at a construction site near you.
